FOOTHILL RUNNING CLUB INFORMATION & GUIDELINES

INFORMATION
  • We will be practicing primarily at different Glendora locations. Schedule will be released soon​

  • We will be providing one solo design shirt for free. 

  • We recommend but do not require that your athlete has one of the following watches: Garmin 35, Garmin 45, Garmin 235, Garmin 245.

 
GUIDELINES

These are guidelines to ensure that we are conducting practices in a safe manner. We want the safest environment possible for our athletes, your kids. That being said, it is important that these guidelines are followed.

 
BEFORE PRACTICE
  • All athletes will need to screen themselves prior to showing up to practice. If athletes are experiencing any symptoms or feel ill at all, they need to stay home and recover.

  • Please wear a mask when showing up to practice.

  • To keep everyone as safe as possible, we will be staggering starting times for athletes. The first round of athletes will show up at 5:15 PM and the second round at 5:30 PM. We will inform athletes what time they need to show up and which group they will be placed in prior to the first day of practice.

  • We will be screening athletes for COVID-19 symptoms and providing athletes with a questionnaire to fill out and sign before they begin their workout.

  • It is very important that athletes stick to their assigned time and get to practice on time in order to keep things running smoothly.

 
DURING PRACTICE
  • No matter what we are doing at practice, it is important that people remain 6 feet apart from each other. Whether it’s while running, stretching, doing core, etc., athletes must remain 6 feet apart from each other.

  • When engaging in physical activity, 8 feet apart is required.

  • Masks are not required to be worn during strenuous physical activity. That being said, it is very important that people remain 6 feet apart from each other.

  • It is important that athletes stick to their assigned group. They cannot run/workout with anyone other than the people in the group they’ve been assigned to.

  • We recommend that athletes bring yoga mats or towels to help define space and spread out during times on the ground.

  • Athletes cannot share anything: clothing, sports equipment, food, water, towels, etc.

  • Athletes cannot engage in physical contact: no hugs, high fives, fist bumps, etc. 

 
END OF PRACTICE
  • Once practice has concluded, please put your mask back on.

  • It is important that athletes are picked up from practice ASAP. Practices will end 7:15-7:30 PM.

  • While waiting to be picked up, athletes must remain 6 feet apart.

  • We recommend that your athletes shower and clean their clothes as soon as they get home.

 

Again, we want the safest environment for everyone. That being said, if an athlete is not complying with these guidelines, they run the risk of being sent home or dismissed from the running club (depending on the circumstances).
